Hello there. The February challenge at CAS Christmas starts now and this month’s theme is Dogs and/or Cats.
I wasn’t able to use the new A Kitten Christmas stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs (NND) this past Christmas, so this challenge was the purr-fect opportunity to do so. And it looks like the kitty got to the Christmas tree lights after all. 😆
On a stitched X-Press It cardstock panel from my stash, the kitty image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured in with Copic markers. Took the matching die to die cut a mask from temporary adhesive paper and used the negative piece as a guide to mask the image.
Next, applied Shabby Shutters distress ink (DI) with a blender brush from the upper right corner and fading out (or is it fading in? 😂). Stamped the pine branch from Sunny Studio Holiday Style stamp set with the same DI for a tone-on-tone. Splattered with Rustic Wilderness DI for some texture. The sentiment from NND Santa Paws Newton stamp set was black heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder to finish.
Jane (Onions and Paper) is our guest this month. To see more inspirations from her and my team, click HERE. The challenge is open until February 24, so there is plenty of time to enter. Thank you for dropping by.
