Hello there. This is the reminder post for the Rainbow challenge at CAS Christmas this month.
I have to admit I don’t understand what the fascination is with gnomes, but I purchased my first and only gnome set called Merry Gnomes this past Christmas from Jane’s Doodles (JD). Since I didn’t get a chance to use it, I thought this was a good time to do so. Here’s my clean and simple (CAS) card.
This was pretty straight forward. Stamped the gnome with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a stitched X-Press It panel from my stash, then coloured him in with Copic markers in rainbow colours.
The same markers were then used to cover a scrap of X-Press It cardstock in a stripe pattern. Die cut the letters from it using My Favorite Things (MFT) Sending Christmas Joy. Die cut the letters again from scraps of Bristol paper and offset them for a drop shadow effect. The sentiment from JD Winter Words was heat embossed on black cardstock with white embossing powder. Added clear shimmer for some sparkle to finish.
Have you played along yet? The challenge is open until April 24 PST. For more inspirations from the design team, click HERE, Hope to see you in the the gallery. Thank you for dropping by. Have a wonderful day.
