Merry Slothmas!

Hello everyone.  Only 3 days till Christmas and I’m almost ready. 😆  Anyway, I wanted to pop in quickly to share a set of last minute Christmas cards.

Rather than buying a Christmas sloth stamp set, I stretched the adorable Be Slothy stamp set from Time For Tea Designs instead.  Just like I did here stretching the otter stamp set, I added the Santa hat from Gerda Steiner Designs On the Table stamp set to make them festive and Christmassy.  All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on scraps of Xpress It cardstock, coloured with Copic markers then die cut out with their matching dies.

The snowglobe was created with the Snowglobe Bases and Circle Basics dies from Memory Box.  The larger circle and base were die cut from Xpress It cardstock and shading was added to the base with cool gray Copic markers.  Partial die cutting was used to shorten the base for a better fit.  The sentiment from My Favorite Things Bitty Holiday Wishes was heat embossed on the base with silver embossing powder.

The circle die one size smaller was then used to die cut from leftover pieces of the gorgeous Blurry Flurries pattern paper from Whimsy Stamps.  Love this paper and couldn’t let them go to waste (right, Alice?). 😉  They make the perfect snowglobe background, don’t you think?

Found some blue and aqua panels (there were not enough of one colour) from my stash for my background.  Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers distress inks (DI) were then blended on the blue and aqua panels, respectively, for an ombré-ish effect. 😉  White gouache paint splatters were added for a snowy look.

Assembled onto a white card base, then added snow over the sloths with a white gel pen to finish.

Thank you for joining me today.  Have a Merry Christmas!

I'd never have thought of a sloth being a Christmas animal. Love how you added the hat and sentiment.
Merry Christmas ♥

A really adorable set of Sloth festive makes and great use of your paper snippets.

Hope to see you up in the Snippets Playground Treehouse for some mulled wine and mince pies after you've finished playing on the swings!

Wow, you did it again, Trina! You're sooo good at combing stamps and dies from different sets! These sloths are so adorable with their Santa hats! Your gorgeously ink blended backgrounds with white Gouache snow perfectly match the pattern paper! Great attention to details as always, like not forgetting adding a slight curve to the sentiment on the snowglobe base!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
