Spellbinders December Small Die of the Month

Hello everyone.  I’m taking a brief break from Christmas cards today and sharing a birthday card created with the December Spellbinders Small Die of the Month.   This month’s Sketched Florals and Frame die set includes 12 dies.

My mother-in-law’s birthday is next week, so I used the pretty floral layering dies to create a colourful clean and simple (CAS) birthday card for her.

This was pretty straight forward.  All the flowers (both the back base piece and the detailed layer) were die cut from white cardstock.  Two gradient colours of distress inks were then applied to the base piece using finger brushes and a detail blending tool.  The leaves were die cut out of Lush Green paper from Memory Box (MB).  Added clear shimmer (sadly not visible in the photos) before the layered flowers were assembled.

The sentiment is from this year’s May Clear Stamp of the Month.  It was heat embossed on black cardstock with white embossing powder and trimmed to a strip.  Arranged and adhered the pieces next onto a MB white woodgrain panel.  Mounted the panel onto a white card base, then added a few MB clear jewels to finish.

As always, Spellbinders offers a range of club kits at a great value and you can view them all and sign up HERE.  Some past kits may also be available HERE.  And if you are looking for more deals, Spellbinders is currently offering $25 off on $100 retail orders (before discounts, taxes and shipping) with free domestic mainland US shipping.  Offer is valid on new orders and cannot be combined with other offers, including club memberships.  So if you’ve been wanting to get your hands on the Glimmer Hot Foil System, this is a good time to do so!  Offer ends on 12/12/2021 at 11:59 pm MST.
