Happy new year everyone! Are you ready to continue making Christmas cards? 😉 Our first challenge of 2022 at CAS Christmas starts now and the theme is Silver and Gold.
These metallics are beautiful, but to use them together, I definitely struggled. Then an order arrived with the We Wish You a Merry Christmas die from Trinity Stamps and the star tree topper included in the set was the “golden” ticket and inspiration hit! 😂 Here’s my card.
Metallics are so hard to photograph. Had not intended to make it so dramatic with the black, but I wanted the gold glitter and silver foil paper to stand out more. Started by dry embossing the die (minus the tree trunk) onto an A2 sized black panel.
Next, die cut the tree from silver foil paper and the star out of gold glitter paper from Memory Box Majestic Hues Glitter pad. Mounted the panel onto a split black/white card base, then adhered the die cuts over the matching dry embossing to finish! Easy-peasy!
