CAS Christmas February Reminder - Winter Scene

Hello there.  This is the reminder post for the Winter Scene challenge at CAS Christmas.

I don’t have a dog, but I imagine dog owners can relate to this snowy winter scene. 😉   I used new stamp Fido (dog in snow) from Purple Onion Designs (POD) to create my winter scene.

On a stitched rectangle panel die cut from Xpress It cardstock, the image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Stamped it again onto masking paper from Gina K Designs (GKD) and fussy cut out to create a mask.  Adhered the mask over the image then applied Salvaged Patina distress ink with a blender brush for the background.

Removed the mask and coloured the image with Copic markers.  The sentiment from Gerda Steiner Designs Christmas Puppies was black heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.  Added falling snow with a white gel pen to finish.

The challenge ends on February 24 PST.  For more inspirations from our guest Izzy (Izzy Scraps) and the design team, click HERE.  Thank you for stopping by.

This is such a cute CAS card, Trina! The facial expression of the doggie makes me smile. The soft blue sponging in the background is a wonderful touch! I don't have a dog, either, but I can imagine they will make their owners laugh a lot like this one.

As a dog owner, I can definitely relate to this winter scene! I had plenty of days during our snowy spell when Tessa came in covered in snow! Great colouring and a great winter scene that really made me smile. Of course, I love your card as part of our CAS Christmas Design Team but I also want to thank you for linking it up with the Peace on Earth challenge!

This card totally makes me SMILE Trina, and as a dog owner I can totally relate too! Our first dog Brinkley used to LOVE the snow, and had fur that the snow loved to stick to, so he always came in looking like a snowy creature that would always make me laugh! The dog we have now (Daisy) is too prissy and does NOT like the snow...kinda like me! Haha!! Anyway, cute, CUTE card my friend! Hugs and hope you have a great weekend!! :0)

You've created a beautiful Christmas/winter card, I love the fun motif and the sentiment that goes with it. The CAS design is on point, and I like how you added depth with colouring and adding gel pen snowflakes, which really bring the scenery to life. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

Adorable winter scene card, Trina, it made me giggle ! Love so much the face of this fun dog, he reminds me so much the dog we had when I was a child. Like this one, his favorite game in the snow was to dig a tunnel with his nose ! As always wonderful colouring and beautiful CAS design. Thanks for having me guest design with you all for this challenge !

I love this cute dog in the snowdrift. I love how you made this beautiful blue background. Only the last photo clearly shows that the card panel is a bit smaller, die-cut with stitching, which looks really wonderful.

Sooo darling! (Or would that be dog-ling? :D)

This precious pup reminds me of our neighbour's dog, Nova, who is a Shepherd mix. She seems to be almost immune to the cold and loves to both lay in, and playfully tunnel through, the snow each winter.
