Hello there. I wasn’t kidding when I said the Mitered Frames dies from Whimsy Stamps (WS) latest release is versatile. 😉 Today I’m sharing how I stretched it to create this fun card.
When I saw all the frames together, I could see a corridor / hallway by keeping all the frames together and inking just the top and two sides. So after die cutting the frames from Bristol paper, that’s exactly what I did using Uncharted Mariner distress ink.
Dudley the dragon from newly released Dudley Art was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, coloured in with Copic Sketch markers, then fussy cut out. Oops was also die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock and ombré coloured with Copic Sketch markers. Die cut its shadow from black cardstock before assembling the card onto a white card base. Added highlights with a white gel pen to finish.
So fun! Thank you for dropping by. Have a wonderful day.

A super fun card Trina, and such great idea using the frames to create a dimensional background!!! Amazing walls and floor, how clever!!! Love the big cartoon-style sentiment too! Really fun! :D You are a genius!
Oh my gosh, this is so much FUN!! It looks like a page from a comic book!

Not only did you think of a great way to use these dies, but your coloring and shading make the background extra special! What a fun Oops!

How ingenious to turn the frame dies into corridor dies, Trina! The shadow on the uncolored floor makes the corridor look so real. The dragon and the sentiment are so fun and cute!
