Poor Dudley

Hello everyone.  Today is new release day at Whimsy Stamps (WS).  I had a blast coming up with card ideas using the new products.  You’ll see what I mean with this slimline card! 😉

As a follow-up to this post, it looks like Dudley went too far with his graffiti artwork. 😂*lol*   Dudley, the new die-cut Good Grief word, and some of the accents on the new police Comic Car were coloured with Copic Sketch markers.  The police car was die cut from black and white cardstock.  The trunk and front hood on the white piece were cut off.  “police” was then debossed on the side door (both word dies in the set make a debossed impression rather than cut).  Traced the debossed police word with a fine black marker to make it stand out.

The slimline panel measuring 3.5”x8.5” was trimmed from Bristol paper.  Using blender brushes, laid down a base layer of light gray dye ink (didn't want the grout lines to be white) then blended dark grey dye ink over a Brick Pattern stencil to create the wall.  Applied Black Soot distress ink and stamped some Pant Brush Strokes in black to give the wall a grungy look. Assembled the card onto a white slimline card base then added highlights with a white gel pen to finish.

Here’s a snapshot of some of the projects from the design team.

I’m sure Dudley will get off with a warning. 😂   And that’s it for my card today.  Thank you for visiting.  Have a wonderful day.

Trina, the card is amazing, love the police car and your brick wall. Dudley is certainly a bad dragon with his graffiti :)

This slimline card is fun and awesome, Trina! Love all the details - the wheels and flashing light of the police car, the grandy-look wall, the highlights of the graffiti (sentiment), etc. Somehow, you don't feel like scolding Dudley.

What a clever card! The "good grief" is such a perfect sentiment for the situation that Dudley found himself in. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
