Tinsel Time Holiday Express

Hello there.  Spellbinders (SB) released more fabulous Christmas products last month, and today I’m sharing a card created with Tinsel Time Sentiments and Holiday Express dies from their Tinsel Time collection.

Isn’t that train adorable?  The train and its parcels were created from Bristol paper and black, blue and silver foil cardstock.  Shading was added to the white pieces with gray Copic Sketch markers.

The background is Bristol paper embossed with the Plaid Company embossing folder.  Thought the plaid design could double as the wall and tracks, so masked off the top and applied light gray dye ink with a blender brush to the bottom for the “tracks”.  Die cut the sentiment with its shadow from white and a darker blue cardstock, respectively, then assembled onto a white card base to finish.

Cute Holiday Express card, Trina! Using the plaid embossed background for both wall and tracks is a great idea! A little shiny silver here and there adds festivity.

Fabulous card. I love how you incorporated the embossed panel for both the "wall" and tracks - so clever. That train is amazing! Love the use of non-traditional Christmas colors. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to Stamps and More!
