I made this card for a crafty friend’s birthday earlier this week. In my rush to mail it off, I forgot to go back and take additional photos… oops, sorry about that. 🤷🏻♀️
Anyway, I used the white wash watercoloring technique (minus the watercoloring 😂*lol*) to create a simple card. Stamped the image and sentiment with white pigment ink onto light gray cardstock, heat embossed with white embossing powder then white washed the image with diluted white gouache paint (could also use diluted white pigment ink here). Normally the next step would be to watercolour the image, but I simplified it and ink blended Salvaged Patina and Uncharted Mariner distress inks over two of the blooms instead. Left the rest white, giving it a faux vellum look (the white wash must be translucent). A rectangle infinity die and white gel pen were then used to trace the frame. Adhered the panel to a white card base and added some aqua jewels to finish.

This is lovely and does look like vellum. Thanks for sharing the card and technique.
I rarely use embossing powders because I hate the mess on my table, as I can never put all the leftover dust back in the jar :D) LOL But love the magic, for sure! Fabulous vellum look for this card, Trina, it's very elegant with the grey base! And clever idea using a blender with DI to colour the light blue (no doubt! LOL) flowers instead of watercolours. Great inspiration!

Another great inspiration, Trina. You surprised me with how you pulled the bouquet of flowers into the frame, so cleverly enlarging the entire image. I love the white and blue flowers on a gray background. Using white gouache is a great idea.
