The Ripped Edge Circle was die cut from Neenah Desert Storm paper to create a wood slice section. All the dies were then nestled together with cutting edges facing up. Lightly inked the cutting edges with brown dye ink, then “stamped” it onto the cutout piece for wood rings. Die cut out a frame next and ink blended it with the brown dye ink before layering it on top.
The rest of the elements were all die cut from Neenah Solar White paper and colouring done with Copic Sket+h markers (Y11, B00, BG11, BV000). A Copic Colorless Blender 0 was used to lighter the colours of the containers to give the gradientcontrast. The sentiment from Hero Arts Everyday Sentiment Strips was gold hear embissed and die cut out with the Sentiment Strips die. Assembled onto cream woodgrain panel and adhered onto a white card base to finish. This
I had (and still have, so you may or may not see more from this collection 🤷🏻♀️) a lot of die cut pieces left over. Believe it or not, I used the same sketch to create this second card! 😉
I flipped the sketch this time, taking creative licence and used the planter, small wood slice and plant foliage as my three objects. The Layered With Sympathy sentiment was die cut from gold foil paper and its shadow from vellum. Assembled the card onto a white woodgrain paper panel then adhered onto a white card base to finish.
