When I saw this card on Amazon, I wanted to CASE it and take the opportunity to ink up the Cardinal Friends stamp set from The Ton that I’ve had for quite a while. And knowing Susan loves birds, this was her Christmas card.
The cardinal was stamped with gray alcohol friendly ink on a scrap of alcohol friendly cardstock. I wanted to try my hand at no-line Copic colouring. I was happy at my attempt, but need more practice. It was then die cut out with the matching die.
The pine branches from Memory Box Antique Pine Label and the letters from Altenew Caps Bold Alphabet were all die cut from Bristol paper. For dimension, the letters were die cut three times and stacked. Wanting the cardinal to be the only pop of colour on the card, the “Peace, Love &” sentiment from Hero Arts Joy Stamp & Cut was white heat embossed on a Bristol stitched rectangle (best seen in the above photo if you look closely above JOY). Popped the panel onto a white card base with fun foam, then finished off with some clear shimmer on the die-cut letters (couldn’t capture that sparkle in the photos).
Ready to bring on the joy? 😉 To see more inspirations from my team and our guest Claire (String Bows), head over to the challenge post HERE. Looking forward to seeing what you create. Thank you for visiting. Have a wonderful day.
