CASE Me a Christmas Card 2024 with Michelle Lupton

Hello there.  I am thrilled to be today’s guest for Michelle Lupton’s CASE Me a Christmas Card 2024 series!

In this series, Michelle teams up with crafty friends and each are challenged to create a Christmas card CASEd from a card the other made this year.  She has so many amazing cards to pick from (check out her IG account HERE), and in the end, I chose this card for its colours and simple design

A mix of products from different companies were used in creating my card:

cup - My Favorite Things (MFT) Coffee Cup dies
frame - Spellbinders Fluted Rectangles dies
candy cane - Spellbinders Christmas Bird Poinsettia dies
hat - Hero Arts Peeking Snowman + Circles Infinity die (circle die was used to shorten the hat)
sentiment - Memory Box Merry Christmas Foil Greetings Black Circle Tabs
face & arms - Your Next Stamp  (out-of-business)on

The hat and cup sleeve were die cut from Memory Box Raspberry Sorbet paper then ink blended with Abandoned Coral and Festive Berries distress inks (DI) for shading.   The rest were die cut from Neenah 110 lb. Classic Crest Smooth Solar White paper and coloured/shaded with Copic Sketch markers.  The face was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, or draw in the face, if you don’t have the stamp.  The belt is a 1/2” black strip.  Trim a 1/2” square from it and mount it on a 3/4” gold foil square for the buckle.

Copic markers used:
candy cane- R27/46/39, C00/1/2, white gel pen
cheeks - R81, white gel pen
white shading - C00/1/2/3/5
ground - T1/3/5

The background panel is Bristol paper ran through the die cutting machine with the largest Fluted detail edging die.  Mowed Lawn DI was then ink blended with a blender brush in the middle of the panel before assembling the card onto a white card base to finish.

Thank you, Muchelle, for inviting me to join you this year.!  I have always loved this series and admire your talented CASE-ing skills.  Follow hashtag #casemeachristmascard2024 on Instagram to see more inspirations.  That does it for me today.  Thank you for stopping by.
