Less is More #382 - Tags

Hello there!  I'm back with a new challenge for Less is More (LIM).  Challenge #382 is Tags and it can be standalone or added to a card.  Uniko is back as our generous sponsor this month. Be sure to participate in both challenges this month to qualify to win.

CHRISTMAS TAG

I started by diecutting a tag from X-press It cardstock.  Stamped the bear with Copic friendly black ink and coloured with Copics.  Masked him, then sponged turquoise dye ink for the background.    Spritz with a shimmer spray for some sparkle (was unable to capture it in the photo).

Next heat embossed the sentiment (retired) using Versafine black ink and clear embossing powder.   To make the tag sturdier, another tag was die cut from a scrap of thick white cardstock and stacked.  Added a black ribbon (retired) to complete the tag.

Making the tag was the easy part.  I struggled with how to add it to the card.  I ended up dry embossing a Whisper White panel with nesting rectangle dies.  Popped the panel onto a white card base with some black fun foam for dimension to finish.

Now over to you.  You have two weeks to join us.  For more inspiration, head over the LIM blog HERE.  Can't wait to see your fabulous tag creations.  Thank you for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Such a fantastic card Trina! Love the icy blue background on the tag with that sweet bear image which you’ve colored perfectly as usual. The nested die embossing on the card blank was pure genius though - just brilliant. Have a great week xx

Magnifique ! I love how your tag pops up over the white panel and what a clever idea to dry embossed the background, I didn't see it on the LIM blog but I really love how it looks. I also struggled with how to add it so that it doesn't seem to float in the void ! As usual your colouring is amazing. Have a great week ! xx
PS: Thank you so much for my lovely and adorable Birthday card !
