Another Tropical Beach Scene

Hello there.  I intended to post this card yesterday, but a mishap right at the end almost got it tossed! 😂 I was not feeling well, so I left it instead.  Waking up this morning and thinking clearly with a fresh set of eyes, I saved it!

I just got this sweet Beach Scene die from Pretty Pink Posh and wanted to use it before it collected dust. 🙈  Started by die cutting the beach scene from a scrap of mixed media paper.  Using Zig markers and a waterbrush, watercoloured the individual die-cut sections.  Spritz them with a Sparkle spray for some shimmer.   While they dried, applied Kraft ink with a blending brush through a Wave stencil onto Kraft cardstock for a tone-on-tone look.

Assembling the beach scene onto the Kraft panel was like doing a jigsaw puzzle.  Added Crystal Glaze to the surfboard for some dimension... and then it happened!  Wasn’t paying attention and smeared the glaze all over the sand, onto the circle frame and even onto the Kraft panel!  So this morning, another beach scene was die cut from mixed media paper.  Watercoloured the sand section to replace the old one, stacked the circle frame to cover up and used a sand eraser to remove from the Kraft panel - all fixed!

Heat embossed the sentiment directly onto the Kraft panel with white embossing powder to finish.  Whew!  Thank you for visiting.  Enjoy your day.
