Jane’s Doodles Challenge #5 - Spring

Hello there.  A brand new Jane’s Doodles challenge starts today, and now that it’s March, it only seems fitting that the theme this time is Spring.

Spring here makes me think of flowers and showers, so I wanted to create a window sill scene after a spring shower for my card. 😉

Started by stamping the Jane’s Doodles Lily with Memento black ink on X-press It cardstock.  Masked it then stamped the jar from Jane’s Doodles Life is Good.  Coloured the images in and created the window pane with raindrops background following Sandy Allnock’s Rainy Day Copic colouring class.  Basically, add colour then remove with a Colorless Blender to make the water droplets.

Once the colouring was completed, the panel was die cut out with a stitched rectangle die.  The sentiment from Jane’s Doodles Birthday Wishes was white heat embossed on a black scrap and clear shimmer added to the lilies finished off the card.

Now it’s your turn.  Play along for your chance to win a $30 gift card to the Jane’s Doodles store.  If you need more inspirations, check out what my team has created HERE.  Thank you for dropping by.  Have a wonderful rest of the week.
