Truthfully, the song I had in mind was “Santa Claus is coming to town” because I wanted to use a NBUS (already discontinued) die called Our Town from My Favorite Things. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it or I mistakenly thought I had one. 🤔 But I found a good substitute and created this simple card.
Next, the cityscape was die cut first from a 2” high black strip. The second was an offset cut from a Bristol piece to stagger the buildings. Adhered the black one to the inked background then splattered with white gouache paint for snow. Black heat embossed the sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs Here Comes Santa Claus on the white die-cut. Once assembled, spritz the entire scene card with a sparkle spray for some shimmer to finish.
Whew... and that’s a wrap from me for today! There are more inspirations over on the challenge blog HERE. The challenge closes April 24th PST. Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery. Thank you for visiting. Stay home and craft on.

Love your night sky and offset cityscape, Trina! Now I'm humming Here Comes Santa Claus!
What a great scene - it worked out beautifully! Thanks for playing at Christmas Kickstart, Jo x
Beautiful sky and a great cityscape! Perfect for the image of Santa and that song.
This is a great way to show Santa coming. Flying across the town to bring the children their packages. I love the town you made and that great night sky. I've hummed by way through the gallery which is timely because we have snow forecast and this, at least, puts me in the mood. However, it is NOT time for snow here at all. The flowers and trees are in bloom.
Gorgeous Christmas card, Trina! Your night sky is so striking and I love how you contrasted the color palette on your cityscape! I think I'll be singing this song for the next few hours :)
Trina, your blue night sky is beautiful beyond words. Love how the moon shines and your fun Santa and Sleigh are flying through the night. Hope you have a great day.
What a wonderful blue snowy night sky for Santa to be flying through on Christmas Trina! Your layered cityscape looks lovely beneath him! xx

I love the gorgeous night sky for Santa and his sleigh, Trina! Your ink blending is amazing (as always)! The staggered cityscape creates a great color contrast and beautiful white space. The sparkle must be so pretty in real life.
