CAS Christmas October Challenge - Christmas Birds

Hello there.  The new challenge at CAS Christmas starts now and this month’s theme is Christmas Birds.

I was searching for my favourite penguin stamp from now closed down Winnie and Walter (WW) when I came across another of their stamp set that I never got to use yet and is perfect for this challenge.  Here’s my card.

On a piece of X-Press It cardstock die cut with the Wrapped Stitch Rectangle from Memory Box, the cardinal was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Masked it to stamp the birdhouse followed by the branch then coloured in the scene with Copic Sketch markers.

Masked the birdhouse next and blended Tumbled Glass distress ink with a blender brush starting in the corner and fading out.  Didn’t need to mask the branch since it’s darker than the ink.  Black heat embossed the sentiment from a different WW stamp set with clear glitter embossing powder, then added snow with a white gel pen to finish.

Our guest designer this month is Anita (Stampin with Anita).  To see what she and my team have created to inspire you to play along, head on over to the challenge post HERE.  The challenge ends on October 24th PST.  I appreciate you stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Immensely beautiful card. Cardinals are amongst my very favourite birds. We don't have them where I live, so I love to include them in my holiday decor and crafts all the more.
